Trophyification is a term used to describe the mental state in which a person idolizes someone or something to the point of entitlement (that often escalates to dangerous degrees) within different variations of human interaction. For example, an [obsessive fan] who thinks they're entitled to a [relationship] with their favorite celebrity, which leads to them showing off possessive, controlling and stalking behaviors. This can even be used to describe 'nice guy' behavior (a behavior where someone--usually a male--believes they're entitled to sex or a [relationship] for being a decent person).
