Phenyl-2-Propanol is also known as P2Pol. Phenyl-2-Propanol can be oxidized to Phenyl-2-Propanone by using PCC, or by using Sodium Hypochlorite (pool shock, NaOCl), and glacial acetic acid. P2Pol can also be oxidized to P2P by using Sodium Chlorite (NaO2Cl), and acetic acid. Density 0.996 [Boiling point] 220 ºC Refractive index 1.5221 [Flash point] 85 ºC Colorless liquid.
