Grössln (noun, derived from German dialect, singular: the Grössln, plural: the Grösslns)

A Grössln refers to a person who exploits others down to the last cent, often with the intent of achieving [financial] gain without any intention of repaying their debts. This [exploitation] is often deliberate and fraudulent, potentially leading to substantial financial losses for the victims.

The term is especially used to describe someone who accrues debts on a "Habibi-basis," an expression used in certain cultures and communities referring to the accumulation of debts among friends or [acquaintances], often with the tacit agreement that the debts will be settled at some point in the future. In the case of a Grössln, however, this agreement is abused, and the debts are never repaid.

The term Grössln carries a strongly negative connotation and is often used to express strong disapproval and contempt for the person described. It can serve as a warning against a person known for their deceptive and [exploitative] behavior. It is a colloquial term and is rarely used in formal contexts.
