March, 2019. The world is full of memes, suspecting nothing. 4Chan is doing its thing, finding the original images of creppypastas, but little did they know, they were about to give birth to one. A user posts a yellow office type building, endless with yellow walls, moist carpet, and yellow carpets aswell. It was on "Liminal Spaces" community in 4Chan. But what would start off as a single image would soon to be known as much more. Over the months, it grew more and more, until they gave it a name.

"If youre not careful and accidentally teleport out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms. Here it is nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow plasteres along the walls, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and about 600 million square miles of randomly connected blank rooms where you will be stuck forever. God save you if you hear something, because it çəřþªīñłý hears you."

This disturbing description haunted most of 4Chan. Some people turned it into a dead meme, while others had tried to expand the whole logic.
