The New Plantation or the Democratic Plantation is a term used to describe the United States of America since the 1980s and 1990s. This term is applied to the tricks of the Democrats to have African Americans and other minorities vote for them without knowing that this party had a strong history of racism, homophobia, totalitarianism, segregation, and ethnic discrimination. The New Plantation wanted every African American and other minority to think that the Democratic Party is the party of civil rights, voting rights, equality, and freedom. However, this is further from the truth because the Democratic Party is the party of slavery and Jim Crow, and not the party of the modern era. They blame white Republicans for everything and fail to see that it was the Democrats who were responsible for the civil rights movement. The Democratic Party created the political system that helped the Republicans to keep the blacks in a system of slavery and Jim Crow and also wanted the blacks to think that they were equal to whites and that they should not complain about the racial discrimination they were experiencing.
