Woke or 'being woke' is an ironic term used to define people or media. In normal [circumstances] the term would refer to something considered 'red-pilled' or 'heightened to a new state of awareness,' now however, the term defines being 'blue-pilled' or 'so out of touch with reality, one lives on their own plane of existence.' This sense of 'wokeness' is often characterized by an individuals unwillingness to hear outside perspectives or views, and/or to constantly deny or reject others views, regardless how rational or objective they may be. Being woke will also tend to embrace hyper-exaggerate (primarily) left-wing or [progressive] propaganda, [talking points], and/or worldviews.
