Only children vary. They don't know [what it is] like to have a sibling and to have that bond. They also are not at all [independent] as they rely on their parents a lot more than a usual child. Only children are often more shy and reserved but are always very close to their parents. They are often very spoilt and know very little about life. They can sometimes find it hard to make friends as they sometimes lack in [personality]. They do, have a much nicer [relationship] with family, and are often kinder than usual children. They can have anger issues and tantrums sometimes though. They are less tough than some kids as they haven't been through the trauma normal kids have. They also don't have siblings to keep them in line so they often step over boundaries. If you are friends with an only child you must make sure they stay in line and make sure you are like the sibling they never had. They don't know what it's like to have siblings but are still jealous of those with siblings. They need someone like a sibling although their parents often try to be more like their bestie than their parent.
