Julkas invariably believe that this makes them highly intelligent and far superior to other girls whom they consider less "enlightened." They dress in [expensive clothes] to show off their families' wealth and are always eager to flaunt their political views, which are generally far more liberal than the average Pole's, simply to demonstrate how supposedly open-minded and modern they are, and consider themselves to be members of an elite, unlike rural youth and those from poorer social backgrounds, whom they treat in a [condescending] fashion.
