Islandman: A Caucasian male, usually 20 to 35, sometimes doubling as a Trustafarian, who inhabits various Caribbean islands, especially St. John, USVI. Usually recently arrived, they sport tanned skin, a relaxed attitude, claim to know [everything] about the island they inhabit, have little real knowledge about said island or its people, dress [intentionally] down, smoke excessive amounts of marijuana, and are generally parasitic in nature. They usually don't hold jobs very long and expect great tips.
