Liptard is a term used to describe someone within the paleontological or biological communities who believes and or draws members of a certain extinct animal group with extraoral tissue (lips) when it is argued that these groups likely did not have them. Proponents of extraoral tissue in a select animal group may argue that such a term is [derogatory] and view the term as an [ad hominem] fallacy, but this can depend on the person and the context. The term liptard shares similarities with the term [feather nazi], both of which are terms used in the paleontological community. Like feathernazi, it is a play on words with Liptard being a play on the word "Libtard" a slang used against people with left leaning positions. Liperal (a term which I cannot take credit for), is used in similar way to liptard.
