OLBS, short for Obsessive Like-Button Syndrome, is a condition where someone with mildly advanced Social Media Muscle Memory will like most posts they find even slightly entertaining without giving them much thought at all, or like a post just because it had more than 500 likes. This can occur in many different social media sites but more often than not on Twiter and Instagram. This can also develop into liking every YouTube video before watching them, followed by the top comments of those videos. In the case of Twitter, it is common for someone with a moderate following who suffers from OLBS to immediately retract most of their likes on the platform, seen as too many context-sensitive or unfunny tweets would then be recommended to their followers.
