"Zalinki" is the name given to an ancient North American tribe that has since been erased off [the face of the earth] by early settlers and colonizers. The Zalinki, although only a small group of people, managed to create their own society much quicker than most, [even] inventing tools that wouldn’t be seen commonly until decades later. They were known for their artistic endeavours, including a wide variety of mediums by which they expressed their very complex array of emotions; ranging from [existential dread] to utter despair. The members of this community were known to dwell igloos for [exceptional] amounts of time, consume unhealthy amounts of processed food and practice several unspeakable acts of dismemberment as part of rituals in their religion. This religion involved the belief in a mystical entity also named Zalinki, that is rumored to still wander the earth today. Maybe a blessing or a curse, some few claim to have sighted Zalinki, reporting feelings of "rebirth both of heart and soul". Despite the unlikely existence of this entity, this tribe forever remains a timeless fragment of the past, kept under lock and key among the bottomless depths of our memories, destined to one day escape its harrowing prison
