The period in a life when the one's attractiveness starts to decline. "To hit the wall" means to start losing beauty and youth. The metaphor is overwhelmingly more often mentioned regarding women (considering the significance of beauty in a female's life) to manifest the decline in their attractiveness, which starts revealing itself at about the age of 25.
