Jaffy is a name derived from the ancient Palestinian port city of Jaffa located seaward of Tel-Aviv the largest city in Israel. Japho (Jaffo translated in Greek) is also in reference to this ancient city located on the Mediterranean Sea. Jaffa was a stopping point for Christians on the pilgrimage to Jerusalem. This region is the cradle of Freemasonry and where the Knights of the Templar discovered King Solomon's treasure. Jaffy is a name for someone from this region or with ties to this historically rich and fascinating part of the world.
