When your partner is happy with you in the current comfort zone you have created. They don’t want the relationship to end but they don’t want it to move forward (I.e. moving in together, marriage, buying a house, getting a pet together , having kids) Similar to a situation-ship except the feelings are genuine. Your partner will give you mixed signals to make the relationship stay the same. Reason for this include but are not limited to: unresolved feelings for someone else, commitment phobia, desire to avoid adult life, their unsure of their sexuality, or they are just lazy.
