Effexor (Venaflaxine) is one of the more hardcore antidepressants out there. Works like magic if nothing else works well or if you have side effects to drugs such as prozac and zoloft. Should work very well. Not addictive, but do not try to stop yourself from taking Effexor [immediately] as you will have horrid withdrawl effects. I take 225 mg and once I stopped, I felt lightheaded, had brain zaps, horrible [nightmares], and had my body twitch uncontrollably from head to toe as if I could feel electrcity running through my nerves, so definatly wean yourself off the drug instead of stopping. Some people are [eventually] able to live without Effexor, while me on the other hand would be in a consistant low and depressed state even after weaning ourselves off the drug.
