Snapfishing is when below [average looking] people use Snapchat or other picture filters on [social media]/social sites in order to catfish unsuspecting victims. Snapfishing has become the most popular way of catfishing because the predator can always claim the victim knew what they looked like before meeting because "they have 1000 pictures of themself". Often the predator/Snapfisher will include one or two unadulterated pics which are burried by countless modified pictures in an attempt to negate blame and absolve themselves of any wrong doing.
