Southwest Indiana consists of Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Martin, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties. Southwest Indiana is a part of the Tri-State Area, the Ohio Valley, the Wabash Valley, and Indiana--in that order. Southwest Indiana is NOT a part of Kentuckiana, but is directly west of it. Cities in Southwest Indiana include Evansville and maybe some others.

Southwest Indiana is [geographically] distinct from northern and central Indiana because it has hills and from Kentuckiana because it doesn't have a lot of hills.

Southwest Indiana is an easy daytrip away from Louisville, Nashville, Cincinnati, and St. Louis. Also [Indianapolis], if you're in to that kind of thing.

Southwest Indiana is sometimes called Southwestern Indiana by people with too much time on their hands.
