Soft water is an [alternate term] for the drug GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyric acid). GHB is an agonist of the GABAb receptor, the GHB receptor, and the oxytocin receptor. GHE has been widely used [recreationally] as well as medicinally. It acts as a strong sedative, yet also can have stimulatory effects. GHB is a schedule I substamce, unless used medically (schedule III). It is referred to as a [date rape drug]. It is also used as a muscle builder. Xyrem (sodium oxybate) is the pill form prescribed for insomnia. There are two main analogues that are widely sold as GHB when in fact they are: GBL (gamma butyrolactone) and BD (1,4 butanediol) It is called soft water because it is slightly salty in taste, as GHB is usually in the form of sodium salt. Thus giving merit to the name 'soft water' because 'softened water' usually has higher concentrations of sodium.
