I go t oa prep school on the east coast. I am not a prep myself but the majority of my school has slipped into the tren. They mostly wear pastels, which I [personally] consider fairly garish, but not so much. They drive fairly nice new cars, and yes, do have money, though they may not be stinking rich. The older [generations] dress much more subtly and relaxed, it is the younger [generations] that wear a lot of makeup and gravitate toward the slutwear and double popped polos. I'm not a fan of preppies myself, but the earlier preppies are good people, fairly relaxed. It's the younger people that have turned preppiness from a clothing trend to a lifestyle, and for god sakes, they're horrible. And burberry isn't prep clothing, it's just classy. Gotta say it, even as an anarcho thuggy type of guy.
