A board placed on 4chan intended for discussion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and [transgender issues].

It is often filled with general threads to discuss more specific parts of the LGBT community (for example, lesgen for discussion between lesbians).

Most of the board's population seems to be trans people, who go there to ask for advice on hormonal therapy and having a smooth transition from one gender to another (or the other, depending on who you're asking). They seem to get the most hate [on the board] even though they make up the majority of its content.

At the same time, the board also gets plagued with threads with trans people asking if they "pass" as cisgender. To no one's surprise (except the people making these threads apparently), the answer to this is usually no.

Every [once in a while], however, the board gets asked an infamous question that all of 4chan simply can not determine an answer to, this question being: are traps gay? /lgbt/'s normal response to this question is that yes, yes they are.
