Fabrique National Herstal
Fabrique Nationale Herstal, also known as FN Herstal or simply FN, is a major firearms manufacturer located in the muncipality of Herstal, Belgium, which was founded 1889. The name translates to "National Factory Herstal". Firearms produced by FN Herstal include the following notable examples: FN Five seveN, FN P90, the different versions of the FN SCAR, M249 SAW and several license produced firearms such as the Colt M16, the Colt M4 and the M2 Browing. FN Herstal also developed several less-lethal platforms, such as the FN 303. Another one of FN Herstal's creations is the 5.7x28mm FN cartridge, a round developed for Personal Defence Weapons.
