v. 1. When someone commits a heinous act and the institution most associated with them (whether it be a school, business, government, etc.) does everything in its power to deny/cover up the act and protect the offending individual. 2. When an institution, organization, group does shady things to protect one of its members. Usually at the detriment of at least one innocent individual. 3. White privilege organization taking care of a white privilege individual at the expense of justice. 4. When a university's leadership does its best to sweep a rape/sexual assault case under the rug so its reputation isn't tarnished, instead of looking out for the welfare of their students by protecting the victim and ensuring the perpetrator (once convicted) is dealt with appropriately.
