1. A phrase describing a prominent scene during the early 90's. It was made up of mostly women. "Riot grrl" music dealt with issues such as feminism, rape, abortion, sexuality, etc., and some girls published 'zines. However, today it has been incorrectly used by Good Charlotte fangirls to describe female fans of the band, due to a song they wrote called "Riot Girl" describing their dream girl. 2. A girl or woman involved in the movement. Also spelled "riot grrl" or "riot grrrl".
