SG is a guitar manufactured by Gibson. It is most definetly NOT a "poor man's" Les Paul! What kinda motherfucking bullshit is that? It is as prone to accidents as any guitar, as a guitar can not cause an accident itself, it needs human assistance. If you dont want the headstock to snap, then buy a decent strap and dont drop the damn thing! Thats basic common sense. The SG is famous for its superior access to the top frets, light weight (although the sound certainly isnt lightweight!), comfort and playability. Noteworthy Gibson SG players include: Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Pete Townshend (The Who), Angus Young (AC/DC) and me. The Gibson SG is a monster of an instrument, with that powerful, rich Gibson sound, dangerous distortion and serious sustain!
