The state of being mentally or physically aroused, or "turned on". See ganting and randy. Physical arousal can manifest as an erection, elevated heart rate, flush, higher temperature, or increased lubrication but may or may not be accompanied by mental arousal, i.e. sexually oriented/stimulating thoughts or desires. Mental arousal may lead to physical arousal, and vice versa, and physical arousal can be influenced by stimulating contact, sights, sounds, or situations.
