Super basic dad. Lives at Home Depot, refuses to upgrade his cellular device, and pretends to be progressive by letting his teenage daughters listen to "that cool new rap" music, but turns down the volume (or just silently cringes) at the cuss words. Local dads have either a very stale sense of humor, bad comedic timing, or both. Definitely collects baseball caps. Local dads are like their coffee tumblrs; kinda hot. A "local dad" can also be used to describe anyone, male or female, who dresses like a "local dad"... typically frumpy athleisure.
