A commonly misunderstood word, that originates from a country accent. Specifically President George Bush. When saying "America" in a sentence, his country accent would make it sound like "Merica", making the "A" silent. This was a cue for butt hurt ignorant liberals to associate the word with everything they hate about America, because coming from a conservative, it must mean that its ignorant, right?
