Definition: A Ghertist is a Combination of a Geek, a Nerd and an Artist Qualities: Follows their own projects and interests independently of the opinions of others. Combines the qualities of the independent Intellectual with the qualities of the creator and designer . Values: They are Adaptive, flexible and creative. A group of Free-spirited people interested in knowledge for the sake of knowledge as opposed to acquiring personal gain for themselves. They value independence yet also seeks collaboration with others (mostly commonly on computer networks and web platforms and in creative spaces. They look for radical and ingenioussolutions to fix complex problems facing the world. They Builds systems for the joy of building systems and are only interested in sufficient material wealth so as to continue with their own personal projects and to make sure they can help friends and family in the process. Humour: They are highly self deprecating and use that as a form of internal strength Ultimately the Ghertist combines the avid technical tinkering of a Nerd, the detached pop culture awareness and coolness of a Geek and the creative thinking and drive of the artist creative and visionary to break down barriers in people's perceptions and thinking The Antithesis of the Hipster, maybe? or maybe just a hipster in disguise?
