Susan Atkins aka Sadie Mae Glutz was an avid follower of Charles Manson. She, along with two other individuals killed Steven Parent, Abigail Folger, Voytek Frykowski, Sharon Tate and her unborn son, and Jay Sebring in the summer of 1969. These murders were known as the Tate killings. Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, Leslie Van Houten and Charles "Tex" Watson also murdered Leno and Rosemary LaBianca one day after the Tate killings. These murders have been coined "The Tate/LaBianca killings" as well as "Helter Skelter killings". Susan Atkins died in prison in 2009 after serving 40 years of a life sentence.
