TenderToast is a surprisingly good and useful variation of the common toast we all enjoy. TenderToast is made by placing two slices of bread into one toaster slot. The slot must be wide enough and is usually found on any toaster that accepts bagels. Best served with crunchy-side out. Advantages of TenderToast: - Abiltiy to make four slices of toast in a two-slice toaster. - Toasts one side only. Crunchy on one side, warm and soft on the other. - Makes a better BLT, fried egg sandwich or burger-bun substitute. Carol and I were making fried-egg sandwiches one day. Needing four slices of toast, I was too lazy to wait and just put all four slices of bread in at the same time....turned out better than expected!!!
