Used to refer to pictures of people on social media and dating websites who look drastly different in real life from their picture on the internet. This deception can be acheived by picture editing software (e.g photoshop), and different camera angles to make the person seem more attractive ( or skinnier) on social media and dating sites. The IRL coefficient is generally applied by the viewer to lower the expectations of the attractiveness of the person in the picture. This is the result of catfishing techniques which can be quantified to predict how different a person appears in their profile pic to that IRL
