Macho, An adjective. An exaggerated masculine attribute, or expression, or characteristic, or trait of a masculine Man. the attribute is natural, and has always existed, but only came into our culture and language on mass, as the result of body building, and our media in the 70's and 80's. The new interest in body building had produced a new form of masculinity, that had become very popular in porn and film. Most macho attributes are positive, as they are natural to masculine men, even if not visible on the outside. These attributes are the naturally occurring attributes of masculinity that are exaggerated, and are sometimes put on to attract a women; similar to how some women put on or play up their femininity to attract a man: but sometimes they occur naturally; acting tough, getting into fights, lifting stuff, ect. The feminine equal to this does not have it's own adjective, and is simply called *femininity(?) but is the same in outward expression, and is the exaggerated traits and attributes of femininity, some times put on to attract a man, but sometimes expressed naturally; acting helpless, dumb, sexually aroused, ect.(better examples required) *May not be accurate. Both the Macho traits and the feminine equal, are typically superficial, sometimes expressed simply do to the physical structure of the person;A heavily muscled man will have a macho walk, and a slim man wont have a macho walk.
