The Quote theory states that no matter how insane, unscientific, unrealistic, and inane a quote is...people are likely to believe it is either true or actually written by said person, if it is written down in a book or the internet. for example taking hitlers quotes out of context when he states that religion causes problems, and thus attributing him to be an atheist because of that phrase.
