A massed region that attaches 13 states together. They include the following: Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. This is a huge area that is seen by many people in several different ways. Some think its boring, and full of hicks. Or, they love it, consider it a vacation area, and would love to raise a family there. It was mostly settled by people from the Northeast, Virginia, West Virginia, and every part of Kentucky. German and Irish immigrants also contributed heavily to settling this large area. During the Civil War the area produced some of the finest, bravest Union regiments of the conflict. Later on, the Midwest would become a strong industrial/agricultural power in the world. It's cities are now major diverse, major educational centers.
