verb. When a party of characters decides to separate, usually to cover more ground, but sometimes because of divergent strategies and/or heated debate (PvP). Usually denotes a problematic within roleplaying sessions, as splitting the party usually wastes someone's time unless a DM is ballsy enough to run two scenes in parallel.
