Lasaron is the Norwegian equivalent to a hobo. It derives from the biblical name Lazarus and is commonly used as a name for drifters. A more modern word of "lasaron" is "lassis". "Lasaron" is not to be confused with "boms" (bum). A "boms" (bum) is ashamed of who he is going around begging for money for drugs and/or alcohol. A "lasaron" (hobo) doesn't care what people think of him/her and have somewhat pride in their lifestyle as wanderers and consider themselves "free spirits" not schakled to enslavement like the rest of the herd.
