It is a substitute for the word "with" and the newest addition to the closed lexical English word class of prepositions. I conducted extensive research and concluded "with" was on its way out. I am a doctor of Linguistics and I felt it was my personal duty to enrich the English Language. This word "ix" is very popular in and around the University of Alberta and is used and quite frequently heard on the upper floors of Henday Hall. In some circles it has the slang form of /ks/. It is even transferable to other english words such as Without (ixout) and Within (ixin).
