Mexican-American ‘cholo’ writing is a form of graffiti first used in the 20th century with a unique aesthetic based on blackletter typography. This graffiti is applied to flat surfaces like walls of buildings, fences and gates (a.k.a. "street bombing") by the Latino gangs.
