A person who has been engaged to marry to the same person three separate times. This requires that the couple be engaged three times and break up at least two times. Sometimes Triancée will use the same ring all three times, but if the Triancée is smart she upgrades each time. Although, it is an accepted practice that the Triancée keep the ring after the third engagement whether or not a marriage occurs.
