Mammal- a small, 20 to 30 pound semi aquatic animal that lives in packs in the extreme Southeast Tennessee Mountains. Mainly on Smith Creek in the Cherokee National Forest. The are normally docile creatures except during estrus. They eat the moss off the North side of oak trees. The moss lacks mineral content they need, and they have been known to eat copper from TVA facilities, causing minor damage.
