Racially, there is no such thing as "Filipino" race. This is because Filipinos consist of Spanish, Chinese, African, Indian, Polynesian, Austronesian etc. blood. They are among the most resilient and adaptable people on Earth. You can find them in the coldest parts of Alaska or Canada, to hottest part of Middle East, to the roughest of oceans as seafarers. They are generally small and short in stature, but are much tougher than they appear. Filipinos who grew up in the first world countries generally are arrogant.

Filipinos are very hospitable and friendly, often misinterpreted by English-speaking Europeans or Americans as [something else]. Life is tough in the Philippines that's why Filipinos go abroad even in places like [Afghanistan], Iraq, Somalia or Nigeria. If you think your life is tough due to the current economic situation? You ain't seen [nothing], mate. Go live in the Philippines and you'll see what really "tough situation" means from a Filipino perspective. No matter how bad a situation is, a Filipino will always find a reason to laugh.
