Verb. (derived from the root word SMIB) After living in St Mary's County in Southern Maryland for some length of time, you decide to conform or adjust to the customs, attitudes, traditions, style, etc. of Southern Maryland and the people that live there (refer to "SMIB"). For example: Drinking 10oz cans of beer, the game cornhole, throwing horseshoes, softball (AKA "ball"), The Tiki Bar, own a boat/RV, driving slow in the left lane, believe that more tattoos are better, have an "In Loving Memory" memorial on the back window of your vehicle, or put Old Bay seasoning on everything. Used to describe when people not born in Southern Maryland have learned to appreciate the finer points of St. Mary's County.
