'Hyperbolitis' is the name of a condition and is derived from the English word 'hyperbole' which means to exaggerate for effect. A sufferer of hyperbolitis will often over exaggerate every day occurrences and will, for want of a better phrase, "make a mountain out of a molehill." It is a well known fact that many attention seekers suffer from hyperbolitis.
