“Angry middle-aged man” 1. A male, typically (though not exclusively) white, over the age of 40, who is angered by the existence of people different from himself. 2. A secular leader, for example within the New Atheist movement. A champion of Reason and Science who is angered by the existence of people less educated and rational than himself. Morally superior to anyone with imperfectly rational beliefs. Final arbiter of what thoughts are permissible for right-thinking rational persons (e.g. euthanasia is rational and good; raising your children in your own religion is irrational and a crime). Despite similarities, not to be confused with an Imam.
