A logarithmic scale ranging from 1-10 used to measure the degree to which the speaker patronizes his conversational partner through choice of words, posture, tone of voice or tone of text. Frequently used as an indicator to describe the sociolinguistical respectively socioanthropological phenomenon of communication through speech and reception thereof by means of pseudoscience.
