a personality disorder with a schizophrenic flavor. It differs from the similarly named "schizoid personality" in that schizotypes want to socialize but have social phobia, wheras schizoids are content to be alone. Also schizotypes have more strange symptoms than schizoids; for example Ideas of reference, magical thinking, bizarre fantasies or preoccupations. So in a way schizotypal is sort of like a mild version of Schizophrenia
