A strip that runs up and down the Manhattan borough of New York City. Between 59th and 96th street, 5th avenue is debatably the most expensive strip of land in the country, if not the world. It is adjacent to Central Park, giving realtors an excuse to add another $3,000,000+ to how much the apartment already is. On the Upper East Side, you will not find more than ten buildings that are not pre-war on 5th avenue. Above UES is the Hospital District, and then East and Central Harlem. Things are less expensive. Below is Midtown, Chelsea and SoHo. These are places where so people escape to party when they're bored in a quiet neighborhood.
