Any soldier in the U.S. Army who enlisted as something else other than infantry and later reclassed to infantry. Real infantryman graduate infantry school at Ft. Benning, Georgia and are known as "11 Bravos". Soldiers who reclass later in their military career rarely ever get the chance to graduate from the "Home of the Infantry" and are therefore called half-breeds or "5.5 Bravo" since they didn't come into the army as a grunt and only recieved half of the experience.
