Quicker than the typical pace of the population but still slower than most normal people's "slow". Origin: Originating in Salem City High School in Southern New Jersey, this term is used by many to describe the speed of the student body. When encouraged to do something quickly, most students continue to move so slow, they might as well move backwards.
